Posted: 02 Dec 2011 05:30 AM PST Legends by Mel Keegan In an era of storm and chaos, One will be born who will command the Power, but the ancient magic that flows in his veins like blood is his curse as well as his gift. In this time of cataclysm and ordeal, the upstart Empire of Vayal has placed a bounty on the heads of all scions of the lineage of Diomedas, for the oracle foretold the doom of Vayal, and it rides on the shoulders of the One. He lives and breathes already, hiding the old city of Zeheft and in the slowly drowning outlands. He is Faunos, still dangerously young — and he has one dread: the witchfinders of Vayal, who are charged with the hunting of those like himself. Twenty years, Faunos has hidden and learned, until the gods of sea, storm and earth take Zeheft; and one night destiny brings Vayal’s young witchfinder to the camps of the water gypsies, where Faunos should not have been. The Empire of the Atlantan has one slender chance to survive, and its struggle will begin on this night.

Dark Tales of Randamor the Recluse Posted: 02 Dec 2011 05:15 AM PST Dark Tales of Randamor the Recluse by Andrew Ashling From the author:- From a fairly simple narrative it grew into a rather complex epic tale, set in a kind of medieval world, but, and this is important, not our Middle Ages. There are literally dozens of characters. They kept coming, they all had a tale to tell and they wouldn’t be denied. There will be no dragons (except an heraldic one), magicians, dwarfs or other strange creatures. I’m afraid there will be a lot of strange sounding names, though. Most of them you can forget as soon as you’ve read them. Since all place names will be unfamiliar I’ll provide maps to help you visualize where everything is. They will appear in the text at the appropriate places.

Posted: 02 Dec 2011 05:11 AM PST Ingeld’s Daughter by Carla Nayland Ingeld’s Daughter is an adventure, a love story, and a stirring tale of rebellion, civil war, the price of justice and the economics of taxation and trade. Irinya is Ingeld’s daughter, rightful heir to the Lordship of Carlundy. Her cousin Radwulf usurped the lordship after her father’s death, married her by force to legitimise his weaker claim, and has held her effectively a prisoner for twelve years. When Gyrdan, a stranger on unknown business, escapes from interrogation by Radwulf’s guards and takes refuge in her chamber, she conceals him partly out of sympathy and partly out of a desire to thwart Radwulf wherever possible. But, by working together, they find they are able to escape. Now Irinya is on the run with a stranger she has only just met, whom she dare not trust and whose history and purpose she does not know. She must decide which is the greater danger, Radwulf’s soldiers and allies pursuing her, or Gyrdan at her side. Exiled in a strange land, she is determined to oust Radwulf and reclaim her rightful position as Lady of Carlundy. But to do this she must somehow enlist support from the radically different cultures of prosperous Billand and the fiercely independent clans of the Black Hills, and convince the people of Carlundy to fight for her and for a better life. Her relationship with Gyrdan develops from suspicion into friendship and slowly blossoms into love. But Gyrdan has a dark secret in his past, and when it catches up with them Irinya finds herself in a terrible trap. Her courage and integrity will be crucial if she is to overthrow Radwulf – but will they also force her to order the death of the man she loves?
